Coaching & Editing Services for Fiction Writers

Writing can be lonely, but it doesn’t have to be. I’m here to help fiction writers plan, shape, and edit their story.

I specialize in contemporary, women’s fiction, literary fiction, and mystery although I work with other genres as well. At this time, I do not work on science fiction, epic fantasy, or horror manuscripts.

Idea & Planning Support

Start your draft strong with the right idea and a solid foundation.

  • Are you bursting with ideas? Unsure which idea has the most promise? Submit 3-5 one paragraph story concepts. I’ll review each one and provide brief notes on strengths, potential pitfalls, and marketability. Then we’ll meet for a 30-minute Zoom to discuss my notes and brainstorm a rough story arc for the top idea.

    Includes:

    • Evaluation of 3-5 story ideas

    • Written notes on each concept

    • 30-minutes Zoom call to develop the strongest one

Walk away with confidence in your chosen idea and excitement to start writing.

  • For early-stage writer who want quick, focused feedback without booking a call.

Stuck on a plot point? Wondering how to make your dialogue sound more realistic? Send up to three story-related questions, and I’ll reply within 3 business days with a thoughtful, personalized response plus any helpful resources to help you move forward with confidence.

    Includes:

    • Up to 3 questions total, sent all at once or as needed over 4 weeks.

    • A thorough response to each question with clear, actionable guidance.

    • Recommended resources or further reading.

Walk away with clarity, direction, and actionable next steps.

Drafting & Revision Support

Support for writers actively drafting who want help shaping their story and staying motivated

  • Found yourself lost in the messy middle? Feeling unsure where to take your story next? Complete a story foundation questionnaire and outline your story’s current state. I’ll review everything before a 60-70 minute Zoom call where we’ll troubleshoot your story problems and brainstorm solutions. You’ll get a written summary of our discussion, actionable next steps, and a recording of our Zoom call for your reference.

    Includes:

    • Pre-call questionnaire and outline instructions

    • 60-75 minute Zoom call

    • Written summary and actionable next steps.

Walk away with clear solutions, renewed motivation, and a plan to move forward confidently.

  • For writers who want to know if their story works - structurally, emotionally, and thematically.

This service is ideal for writers with a full or partial draft who want big-picture clarity on what is and isn’t working before revising.

You’ll submit your first 50 pages and complete my Story Workbook, a resource I’ve developed through:

    • My work with fiction writers

    • Exercises created by Author Accelerator

    • Principles from The Story Grid

The workbook includes guided questions and instructions for creating a synopsis or scene list, so I can accurately assess your story strengths and weaknesses.

I’ll evaluate key story foundations, including:

    • Is the genre clear and supported by the plot?

    • Does the protagonist have an internal arc of change?

    • Is the protagonist active and driving the story?

    • Does the beginning raise compelling story questions?

    • Are the major turning points (inciting incident, midpoint, etc.) working?

    • Do the scenes drive change and momentum?

    Includes:

    • Review of your first 50 pages

    • Review of your completed Story Workbook

    • 3-5 pages of written feedback

    • Optional 30-minute call to walk through next steps (+$45)

Walk away with a clear understanding of what’s working, what needs improvement, and actionable next steps for revision.

Please note: Due to the time involved, this service is occasionally waitlisted based on my current workload. Typical wait time is 2-3 weeks. You’ll recieve an estimated start date when you inquire and book.

  • Must have completed at least one service with me previously.

Congratulations on finishing your draft! If you’re entering your first or second round of revisions and feel overwhelmed or unsure where to begin, this service is designed to help you move forward with confidence and a clear plan.

I’ll read your full manuscript with a focus on big-picture storytelling to evaluate what’s working, what needs revision, and where your time will be best spent as your revise.

    I’ll assess key elements including:

    • Plot holes or structural breakdowns

    • Pacing and narrative drive

    • The protagonist’s internal arc of change

    • Dialogue strength and authenticity

    • The progression of time

    What’s included:

    • A full read of your manuscript

    • A 3-5 page summary letter with my evaluation and a revision roadmap highlighting the top 3-5 priorities for revision with actionable next steps

    • Comments made using Track Changes on the first 3 chapters to illustrate my feedback and give clear examples.

    • A 60-minute Zoom to discuss feedback and talk through your next steps.

    • 4 weeks of email support

    Why returning clients only?

This service works best when I already have some background of your writing goals, story, and writing process. Because this is a time-intensive service, limiting it to returning clients helps me prioritize those I’ve worked with before.

You’ll walk away with a clear, story-level understanding of your manuscript’s current state and a focused plan to guide your early revisions with confidence and direction.

All prices are listed in USD and based on standard manuscript formatting of 1” margins, 12pt font, Times New Roman, double spaced. Payment can be made through Squarespace, Zelle, or Venmo.
